Leatherworkingis a primary crafting profession inWorld of Warcraft. Leatherworking primarily involves creatingmail armorandleather armor, but they can also craftcloaks,armor kits, and bags too.Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK)increases the level cap of professions from375 to 450and with that, there are more recipes that players will need to learn for leveling and end-game.
Leatherworking provides 2 unique benefits that can only be applied to their own character, these come in the form ofFur LiningandLeg Reinforcements. These are augments applied to the Bracer or Leg armor that are much stronger than any other enchanting recipe that would otherwise be used. InEnd-game content, there are a number of high-level pieces of armor that Leatherworking provides and can be sold to other players for a decent profit.
Leatherworking is often paired withSkinningas a second primary profession as it provides the bulk of materials that Leatherworking requires.
This guide is intended to help level Leatherworking from level 1 all the way to 450 in themost efficient way possible. However, some recipes used heremay not always guaranteea level up of a certain skill (“skill-up”). The use of the “approximately” symbol (~) is often used to convey the average amount of crafts or materials needed.

There are manyBind on Equiprecipes available to craft at 440 Leatherworking. Depending on the cost or availability of the differentElemental Eternals, some might be cheaper to make or more profitable than others. Each of the recipes below requires the least amount of materials.
