Marvel’s Midnight Sunsfeatures fun gameplay like combat missions, training challenges, collectibles, and solving mysteries at the Abbey grounds. As the Hunter, players return to their birthplace, the Abbey, while preparing for an all-out apocalypse. The Abbey is hidden in a far-off dimension and is currently home to Caretaker, the Midnight Suns,some of the Avengers, and the friendly hellhound Charlie. The ghost of Agatha Harkness also resides there, but a select few can only sense her, the Hunter included. While exploring the Abbey grounds, Agatha will lead the Hunter to many secret discoveries that hint at the long history of the grounds. One of these mysteries is the Apothecary Vessels.
The Apothecary Vessels are six magical bottles that protect the remains of innocent victims of the Salem Witch Trials. They are hidden around the Abbey grounds, specifically near the Elemental Altar (AKA Agatha’s Alter on the map), but getting ahold of them takes work. Players must have completed the Elder God Trials and learned all four Words of Power: Open, Reveal, Purify, and Break before finding all the Apothecary Vessels. Glowing Vessel
The most accessible Apothecary vessel to find is the Glowing Vessel. West of the Abbey is a secluded area called the Elemental Altar. Rituals, offerings, and more are performed in this area throughout the game, so it will be a regularly visited area for the Hunter. However, to access Agatha’s Altar area, players mustcomplete the first Elder God Trialand obtain the Word of Power Open. After getting the word, move west of the Abbey Training area and up a steep hill with a closed-off entrance at the top of the hill. The ruin for Open is drawn above the door.
Use the Word of Power to open the door and head inside. To the right, at the end of the entryway, is a small path leading to a stone plinth with the Glowing Vessel sitting inside a brown basket. .
Sealed Vessel
The Sealed Vessel is the vessel players can get right after the first. The Elemental stone Altar sits in themiddle of Agatha’s Altar area, but before going up the altar steps, players will see an archway that opens up to another entrance on their right. Use the Word of Power Open again to get through this door and reveal an area called the Whispering Wood.
Near the center of the Whispering Wood, look for a broken pillar beside a broken stone wall. Sitting on the pillar is another brown basket with the Sealed Vessel.
Fractured Vessel
The next few vessels require the Words of Power Reveal, Purify, and Break. Furthermore, Break is the last one the Hunter can learn, so it is best to complete therest of the Elder God trialsbefore locating the last four Apothecary vessels. Whenever that is done, return to the Whispering Wood to find the Fractured Vessel. A wall with a giant crack in is at the bottom of the hill leading into the Whispering Wood, pushed back to the right. If standing at the bottom of the hill and facing the entrance, the wall can be seen to the Hunter’s left.
Use the Word of Power Break to destroy the wall and reveal a small altar with a rectangular plinth. The Fractured Vessel is sitting in a basket in front of the plinth.
Murky Vessel
Players can quickly get to the Murky Vessel right after finding the Fractured Vessel. Turn around and head north in the Whispering Wood, and another cracked wall will be visible a few feet away. Again, use the Word of Power Break to clear the wall. There are two main paths from that point, one to the northeast that leads to a broken bridge and another that continues north.
To get the Murky Vessel, keep heading north on the path until coming across a stone bench and plinth withmore collectibles on it. The vessel is in the basket on the bench.
Empty Vessel
To get the Empty Vessel, backtrack from the Murky Vessel and find the broken bridge. At the start of the bridge, the ruin for Reveal is etched into a stone on the ground. Using the Word of Power will repair the bridge, and players will geta new location to explore. Make sure to stand to the side of the ruin and not on the bridge to ensure it works correctly.
Cross the bridge and take the path to the right that leads up a small hill. Hidden slightly behind a small archway is the Empty Vessel atop a stone pillar.
Weathered Vessel
In the same area as the Empty Vessel, players will find the last vessel - the weathered vessel. Move past the stone archway leading to the previous vessel, and there will be a giant wall of vines and thorns withLilith’s green mark of evil. The Hunter must use the Word of Power Purify to get past them.
Purify will clear the area and reveal a Rare Arcane chest and a small path that leads to the Weathered Vessel.
