Marvel Snapplayers will soon have a greater chance to pull some of the game’s best cards thanks to this season’s series drop. Every season,Marvel Snaptakes cards previously available in pools 4 and 5 and drops them down a rank to pools 3 and 4, making them easier for players to obtain. This season, powerful cards like Silver Surfer, Knull, and Darkhawk are slated to drop from pool 5 to pool 4, meaning more players will finally have a better shot at acquiring these highly sought after cards.

Pool 4 and pool 5 cards are obtainable for players from Collection Level 486 onwards, however, they are much rarer than pool 3 cards and can be obtained fromCollector’s Reserves, Collector’s Caches, or purchased from the Token Shop. Pool 5 holds the rarest cards, so even a drop down to pool 4 will make it a lot more likely that players will be able to grab them. Sentry joins Silver Surfer, Knull, and Darkhawk in making the jump from pool 5 to pool 4, and Maria Hill, Agent Coulson, and Helicarrier drop from pool 4 to pool 3.

Several Strong Cards Could See a Rise in Usage from Marvel Snap’s Series Drop

This series drop is great news for players looking to add some powerful but rare cards to their collection. Players who missed out on purchasing the Premium Season Pass for The Power Cosmic season in December 2022 to getSilver Surferwill now have an increased chance of pulling this strong card. Despite the recent nerf to Silver Surfer, this card is still very useful with its On Reveal ability that grants +2 Power to all other friendly 3-Cost cards, making it a great addition to a variety of decks.

As a fantastic staple for the destruction deck archetype, Knull has been quite popular among users of this type of deck, but its rarity kept it from being widely accessible. Knull’s Ongoing ability to gain the combined power of every card destroyed during the current match gives it a ridiculously high power ceiling. It pairs well with Death and Wave to create the aptly titledDeathwave strategyof destroying as many cards as possible on turns 1 through 3, playing Wave on turn 4, then Knull on turn 5 and Death on turn 6 for some frighteningly high Power levels that can overwhelm opponents.

Darkhawk has a lot of potential to disrupt the current meta, but being such a rarer card makes it see a lot less usage. Its Ongoing ability gives it +2 Power for each card in an opponent’s deck, giving it great synergy with cards like Korg, Black Widow, and Rockslide that fill opponent’s decks with fluff cards. Not only do these cards disrupt an opponent’s strategy, but they serve to further boost Darkhawk’s power. As a 4-Cost card, Darkhawk was a lot more powerful before thenerf to Zabu, but it can still be a great cornerstone for a deck to build upon.

While not as useful or sought after as these three cards, some of the other cards in this series drop may also find increased usage. Helicarrier in particular is useful when paired with the currentSeason Pass card MODOKsince it adds three random cards to the player’s hand when discarded, making it a great addition for Collector decks featuring MODOK. While a definitive release date for this series drop has not been announced yet, it’s likely to occur sometime before the end of the season on March 6.
