The following article contains spoilers for episode 4 of Ms. Marvel, “Seeing Red.”This week’s episode ofMs. Marvelbrought Kamala and her mother to Pakistan, where they’re meant to reconnect with their family history and each other. While visiting Karachi for the first time, Kamala comes across a mysterious group known as the Red Daggers, who are more than familiar with her powers and the Clan Destines.
Kamala’s interactions withRed Daggermembers Waleed and Kareem shed some light on both her ancestry and the origin of her powers, while also drawing some connections to Marvel’sShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The information Waleed shared with Kamala in episode 4 is now the second connectionMs. Marvelhas made toShang-Chi, and it seems as if these two heroes will be crossing paths down the road.

Multiple Dimensions
About halfway throughepisode 4, Waleed shows Kamala a map of two worlds layered on top of one another, and explains that there are multiple dimensions surrounding the MCU, all of which remain close, yet separate, from Earth-616. He then conjures up another visual from the ground to further explain how these universes manage to co-exist, and tells Kamala that the Clan Destines come from a place known as the Noor Dimension.
The Veil of Noor
As fans learned in episode 3, Kamala’s great-grandmother, Aisha, also comes from the Noor Dimension, which is where she originally obtained the bangle that gives her and Kamala their powers. Waleed explains in “Seeing Red” that the reason people can’t see the Noor Dimension is because it’s separated from Earth by what’s known as the Veil of Noor.
Not only is Noor the primary energy source for Aisha and the Clan Destines’ native dimension, it also serves as the energy source forKamala’s powersthat are contained within the bangle she wears.

Ta Lo
The idea of veiled dimensions is something that’s been introduced to Marvel viewers earlier in Phase 4, whenShang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Ringsfirst premiered. The film explains that Shang-Chi’s mother comes from a place called Ta Lo, a world only accessible to those who manage to navigate their way through a dangerous, magical maze in an enchanted forest.
Likethe Noor Dimension, Ta Lo is close to Earth-616, but not inherently visible to those who are unable to navigate their way through the forest keeping it hidden. The existence of Ta Lo mirrors the existence of the Noor Dimension, because under certain circumstances, specific people and things can come from these hidden worlds and be brought to Earth-616. Each universe is protected by something otherworldly, that’s meant to keep outsiders away.

The Ten Rings
Episode 3 first made aconnection toShang-Chi, during a flashback of Kamala’s great-grandmother in a temple, where she first acquired her magic bangle. In that temple were images of the Ten Rings, which got fans speculating that the Ten Rings were from the same dimension as Kamala’s bangle.
If the Noor Dimension is capable of fueling Kamala’s bangle on Earth-616, it’s also entirely possible that the Ten Rings come from a different universe, and draw their energy from an alternative source of power, similar to the Veil of Noor. The origin place of the Ten Rings is still a mystery as of now, andShang-Chiactually ended with the movie’s titular character discussing the Rings withthe Avengers, in hopes of pinpointing where they came from.

With that being said, all signs point to Noor, and it seems as if the Ten Rings and Kamala’s bangle are much more similar than fans originally thought. Not to mention, the bangle and the Ten Rings have some similar powers, which would make sense, assuming that they do actually come from the same universe.
Future Crossovers
There are still two episodes left untilMs. Marvelcomes to a close, but given the show’simmense popularity, this definitely won’t be the last time fans see Kamala Khan. Given the similarities between Kamala’s bangle and Shang-Chi’s Ten Rings, it’s likely that the MCU is setting up a collaborative storyline between these two heroes in the future.
Marvel Studios has confirmed that there will be aShang-Chi 2,although the film will likely be part of Phase 5, or perhaps even Phase 6, depending on how fast production goes. Both Shang-Chi and Kamala are still new to the world of heroism, so they could absolutely use each other’s help figuring out the origins of their power-packed jewelry.

Kamala will also be joining her idol Captain Marvel next summer inThe Marvels, and going on her biggest journey yet. Shang-Chi was also working with Captain Marvel in theShang-Chipost-credit scene to try and determine just how old the Ten Rings are, so Carol Danvers will likely be the one bringing him and Kamala together, some time in the future.
