In the excitement of seeing the beloved cast on I-Island, it can be a bit overwhelming, taking in all the fun little details, and the movie is definitely worth a second watch. Here are a few things that some fans may have missed when watchingMy Hero Academia: Two Heroes for the first time.
10Deku’s Formal Attire Inspiration
One of the biggest highlights of the film was being able to see Deku and his friends' formal attire when attending the big party. Most fans were probably expecting something much greener; something that resembled Deku’s signature hero look. However, Midoriya shows up in a very retro-looking brown suit instead.
It’s likely that Deku took inspiration from his number one idol, All Might, as his suit actually looked incredibly similar to All Might’s vintage yellow suit he sports when visiting U.A. High! No matter what aspect of Deku’s look, trust thatAll Might had a big hand in inspiringthe fan boy’s overall aesthetic.

9Todoroki Took Endeavor’s Invitation To The Expo
All the students present at the I-Expo were invited one way or another, the only way Deku found his way in was because All Might brought him as a guest. Kirishima was Bakugo’s plus one, Momo had extra tickets from her father, and Iida was invited due to his older brother being a well-known pro hero himself.
However, Todoroki’s invite actually belonged to his father, Endeavor! Apparently, according to Todoroki, Endeavor received an invite to the expo but couldn’t attend, allowing young Shouto to go in his place to represent him instead. Perhaps Todoroki did want to represent his father, but it’s more likely that the lonely boy just wanted to join his friends!

8Why Deku Wore The Gauntlet To The Party
It was a bit strange that Deku conveniently decided to bring along Melissa’s Full Gauntlet to a fancy party. In a brief exchange between Melissa and Deku, it’s revealed that Deku actually had the gauntlet on simply because he couldn’t figure out how to take it off.

Hours before the party, Melissa takes Deku into her room to show him her invention and allows him to try it on as part of his hero suit. However, after rushing back to his room to get party-ready, it seems as if the clueless hero just kept it on in his rush to make meet his friends on time. Who knowshow much more difficult the final fight would have beenfor Midoriya had he managed to take the gauntlet off before heading to the evening’s big event.
7Quirk Laws Are Different All Over The World
In another quick bit of dialogue from pro hero All Might, it’s established that quirk laws are different all around the world. At the beginning of the film, All Might and Dave are seen fighting crime freely in Las Vegas; meanwhile, most of the anime series takes place in Japan. However, upon entering I-Island, Deku notices how extravagant the expo is, with manyheroes using their quirks for show.
According to All Might, it seems as if Japan is particularly strict when it comes to laws regarding quirks and their usage in public. Meanwhile, on the floating I-Island, it’scompletely acceptable to use one’s quirksfor show or spectacle.

6Momo Likely “Made” Ochako’s Party Dress
Upon gathering for the party, Ochako mentions that she didn’t previously own any formal clothes, so she resorted to borrowing something to wear from Momo. It’s been said before in the series that Ochako desires to be a hero to support not only her parents but also her own livelihood. It’s possible that Ochako hadn’t had the need for formal attire before that night or simply that she decided it wasn’t worth budgeting for since fancy clothes aren’t worn very often.
However, it seems that Ochako and Momo have very different body types; so it’s likely that Momo didn’t lend Ochako a dress that she previously owned, but rather that she created it via her Creation quirk. But since Momo has mentioned before that she tries to avoid creating things outside of combat, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she was just that good of a friend that she went out of her way to simply buy a new dress for Ochako instead.

5Todoroki Only Uses His Flames Once
It’s common knowledge that Todoroki isn’t exactly proud of his father and the quirk he inherited from him. It’s incredibly rare that Todoroki ever sports his flashy flames. For the entirety of the fights Todoroki is part of, he only evertakes down enemies with his ice. However, in one instance, Todoroki didn’t hesitate to use his flames to help propel Deku and Melissa to get to the top of the tower to save I-Island.

This is the only time in the film Todoroki resorts to using his flames. Deku notices this as well and thanks his dear friend, knowing about his reservations about using that side of his quirk.
4All Might Sees Deku As Even Closer Than Family
At the beginning of the film, Deku and All Might are on their way to the I-Island expo in a fancy private jet. During their plane ride, Deku apologizes for taking All Might’s plus one invitation since usually these invites are reserved for family or closest friends. However, it’s here that All Might mentions that the bond between him and Deku is a bond much thicker than blood.
As All Might’s successor and the new host for the One For All quirk, All Might clearly sees Deku as someone incredibly close and dear to him; sharing an indescribable bond. It seems all those"Dad Might" memes about Deku and the pro heroweren’t so far off from the truth after all!

3Jiro & Momo Know About Ochako’s Feelings
While Melissa takes Deku on a tour around the island, they happen to run into a (very obviously) jealous Ochako. She simply points how Deku seems to be enjoying himself; however, the look on her face was enough to understand her true underlying feelings. While Deku nervously tries to explain himself, Momo and Jiro seem to send some knowing glares Deku’s way as well.
Although Ochako vowed to herself to put her feelings for Deku aside for the sake of the future of her career, it’s inevitable her crush would seep out once in a while. Whether or not Ochako willingly/directly told Jiro and Momo about her crush on Deku, it’s apparent that the two also know about the situation and are willing to punish Deku for his (supposed) playboy ways as well!

2Three Class 1-A Students Only Make A Small Cameo
Among all the students in Class 1-A, three are shown only at the very end during the credits sequence. Almost all of Class 1-A gets a small speaking part, however, Aoyama, Koda, and Ojiro are the only students that don’t get a single line.
The other students outside of the main cast are all seen within the film around I-Island, but Aoyama, Koda, and Ojiro had to wait for the very end to make their cameo.

1Kirishima Knows Bakugo’s Clothing Size
Trust Bakugo to be a killjoy and say no to attending the big expo party. Luckily, Kirishima convinces him to attend by swaying him with the thought of tons of free gourmet food. Bakugo mentions he didn’t bother bringing any formal clothes, but Kirishima of course had the foresight to bring an extra pair of clothes just for his best bud.
Since Kirishima was the one who decided to surprise Bakugo with formal attire that must mean he somehow got a hold of his clothes sizes prior to the trip. Only themanliest of friendships are as wholesome as these two!
