New Pokemon Snaphas been out for about a week now, givingPokemonfans the chance to revisit the classic on-rails picture-taking gameplay that they remember from the Nintendo 64 original, updated for the Switch.New Pokemon Snapis full of Requestsfor players to complete, though one Request in particular has been frustrating fans of the game, as they haven’t been able to figure out how to complete. As it turns out, that’s because the Request is broken.

It’s been discovered that theNew Pokemon SnapProud Warrior Request is broken, seemingly by the game’s day one update. Like many other modern games,New Pokemon Snaphad a day one updatethat aimed to address some lingering issues and improve its overall stability. If players have the original version ofNew Pokemon Snapthat hasn’t been updated, they should be able to complete the Proud Warrior Request. As confirmed by Dexerto’s testing,New Pokemon Snapplayers need to go to thenight version of Shiver Snowfieldat Research Level 2, throw Fluffruit at the Furret when it hides from Mightyena in a hole, and then snap a photo of the Braviary that shows up and starts eating the fruit.

In the updated version ofNew Pokemon Snap, the issue is that the Furret stays in its hole after being chased by the Mightyena. Since the Furret won’t leave its hole, that means players can’t trigger the Braviary tostart eating the Fluffruit. And since the Proud Warrior Request is asking players to take this specific photo of Braviary eating the fruit, it makes it impossible to complete for those with the updated version of the game.

Nintendo and Bandai Namco are most likely aware of thisNew Pokemon Snapglitch and are likely working on a patch. However, neither company has actually acknowledged the issue publicly and hasn’t made any indication as to when fans may be able to expect a fix. Since it makes the game impossible to complete for those with the updated version ofNew Pokemon Snap, one has to imagine that this bug is near the top of the priority list.

New Pokemon Snapreviewshave been mostly positive, with many critics praising it as a worthy successor to the Nintendo 64 original. Bugs and glitches like the one preventing players from completing the Proud Warrior Request are unfortunate, but one has to imagine that the issue will be resolved sooner rather than later.
