Nintendois teasing a major sale unveiling on November 20, and it’s looking like something fans and Switch gamers might want to check out.Nintendo recently revealed some Black Friday salesthat feature console bundles and up to half off some of the publisher’s first-party titles. Nintendo-published games rarely see discounts and price drops, so Black Friday is one of the few times fans of the company can reliably expect to save some money.
There are somegreat early Black Friday dealsalready happening, but Nintendo is still holding some cards close to the chest. Retailers offer physical games and console bundles at discounted prices in the weeks leading up to and following Black Friday. Nintendo also offers deals on digital games through the eShop each year, but these usually wait until the week of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Nintendo’s sales and deals pageis teasing the reveal of “cyber deals,” coming on November 20. This announcement presumably refers to upcoming Cyber Monday deals, as the graphic sits just below a link to Black Friday deals for Nintendo hardware and software. The page informs gamers to check back on November 20 for “deals on Nintendo games and partner titles.”

While there’s no way of knowing precisely what games will be featured in the upcoming sale, it will likely include digital and physical titles from both online retailers and the Nintendo eShop on the Switch console. Each year,Nintendotypically runs a sale on digital games through its eShop, featuring on various titles during the weeks of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Perhaps November 20 is when Nintendo will unveil which of its featured games will see significant discounts during this particular sale.
While the discounts Nintendo advertises on self-published games generally pale in comparison to what some other publishers offer, it’s important to note that Nintendo games tend to maintain value pretty well. Again, Nintendo rarely offers discounts on first-party titles. Not to mention, the sales being advertised for Black Friday include some of thebest first-party Nintendo Switch games. Sure, it might not include recent hits likeSuper Mario Bros. WonderorThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but there are other deals on critically-acclaimed exclusives available.
With theSwitch 2 being Nintendo’s worst-kept secretat this point, it’s very possible this could be the last holiday season where the current hardware is the company’s focus. At the very least, it’s likely that fans will at least hear about the upcoming hardware sometime in 2024. Nintendo has been talking a lot about the importance of Nintendo accounts, so it looks like the future generation could be backward compatible. That’d be nice as many Switch gamers still have quite a backlog to work through even before the season’s impending sales.
