The combat system inOne Piece Odysseyhas a lot more depth to it thanpeople seem to be giving it credit for. Players have Standard Attacks, Bond Attacks, consumable items, which crew mates to use, Attack Types to consider, and all that’s not even including all 70+ Skills. Skills, in particular, are the abilities that fans of the series will be most familiar with, as they’re the moves that these characters are most known for using. Attacks like Gum-Gum Pistol, Rubber Band of Doom, or even Robin’s painful ‘orange crushing’ move, they’re all under the ‘Skills’ category.

But, which Skills out of all the ones available for the 9 crew members inOne Piece Odysseyare the best? Let’s look at them all and rank the best of them from least to most useful, making sure each crew member gets at least a bit of representation.

15Usopp: Smoke Star

First up is the iconic liar of the Straw Hat Crew, more recently known as ‘God’ Usopp after the events in Dressrosa. Usopp, while incredibly strong compared to the average person, is still probablythe weakest member of the crew overall.

That said, the guy gets by in all his fights with sheer ingenuity and creative thinking. InOdyssey, Usopp is all about single-target, long-range attacks, but Smoke Star is one of the exceptions. When Usopp uses this 50 TP move, he hits all targets in the area at long range and has a chance to inflict each one with the Enchant status effect.

14Usopp: Golden Pound

Longtime fans of the franchise will recognize the Hammer Usopp uses in his Golden Pound Skill, as it’s the hammer he used in his fight against Perona in the Thriller Bark arc. And, in this fight, fans found out that the 10-Ton Hammer was actually just a balloon on a stick, but by the time Perona would have discovered this she was already passed out from pure fear.

InOdyssey, the hammer has a pretty similar effect. It deals great damage to any target fooled by it and inflicts the Faint status effect on them. But, if it’s used against any character known for their intelligence, such as Crocodile, the chances of them falling for it are pretty low.

13Chopper: Monster Point

Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of Luffy’s crew, and though he’s become more mascot than fighter since the timeskip, the guy still has a lot to offer in a brawl. Like Luffy and his Gear transformations, Chopper also has a lot of transformations using his Rumble Ball invention, with the greatest of them being his Monster Point form.

Using this 150TP Skill, Chopper turns into his Monster Point form for the next 5 turns. While in this form, Chopper gets a buff to pretty much all stats (such as Attack, Defense, and even Guts) and has access to some Skills that normally wouldn’t be available.

12Nami: Mirage Tempo Fata Morgana

Mirage Tempo is available early on and allows whatever ally Nami chooses (including herself) to evade the next attack. And, while this is useful, the Fata Morgana version is more helpful overall.

Mirage Tempo Fata Morgana hits all enemies in all areas for a measly 80TP and has a chance to both Enchant and Confuse them when used.

11Franky: Max Cola Charge

Franky actually has multiple Cola Charge Skills inOdyssey, with each one being unlocked the further he levels up, and each version increasing his attack power more during the duration. Basically, Franky takes some Cola (1 to 3 bottles, depending on which Skill is used) and slams them in his stomach (literally) to recharge his Cola reserves.

Doing this will buff his Attack overall for the next 3 turns by a pretty staggering amount. It’s not worth using against basic enemies all too often, but it can help out a ton during themore difficult boss fights.

10Sanji: Poele A Frire Spectre

Most of Sanji’s moves are close-range, as he’s a Power-type character, but this is by far his best long-range option. When this Skill is used, Sanji spends 130TP, Sky Walks into the air, and starts raining down flaming kicks on an area at long range. Doing so also has a decent chance to Burn each target as well, increasing the damage output of this move overall.

9Zoro: Black Rope Dragon Twister

There aren’t a ton of Skills that knock enemies into different areas. Usually, this is reserved for regular attacking so that players have more incentive to use default attacks outside of just regenerating TP. But, the moves that do knock enemies back are almost all universally amazing, and Zoro’s Black Rope Dragon Twister is a perfect example.

Not only does this Technique move hit all enemies at any range, but it also has a chance to inflict Bleed, as most of Zoro’s moves tend to do.

8Franky: Franky Radical Beam

Moving on to another one of the cyborg shipwright’s moves, it’s Franky Radical Beam. For those who remember, this is the beam that was first shown as a weapon of destruction by the Pacifistas on the Sabaody Archipelago. But, during the timeskip, Franky learned how to create these beams himself in Vegapunk’s old lab.

This is another one of those attacks in-game that are fantastic to use against groups of smaller enemies, as it hits all of them in any area, is a Speed-type move, and has a chance of Burning each target individually (though it is expensive at 230 TP).

7Brook: Song Of Scratches Blizzard Slice

Finally, there’s some representation of the musician of the Straw Hats, Soul King Brook. Most of Brook’s attacks inOne Piece Odysseyrevolve around two mechanics, Sleep and Freeze. He either puts them to sleep using peaceful music or chills them to the bone using the cold energy of the afterlife.

Well, Song of Scratches Blizzard Slice is an example of the second mechanic, as this 170TP Technique Skill hits all enemies in his immediate area and Freezes them.

6Robin: Mill Fluers Gigantesco Mano Stomp

To be honest, a ton of Robin’s skills would qualify for this list, her Skills are all just great in terms of overall damage. Not only that but they are also some of the most visually distinct attacks of the bunch since she can make infinite amounts of her body parts or fuse them together to create giant arms and legs.

In any case, Mill Fluers Gigantesco Mano Stomp is a 230TP Technique move thathits all enemies in all Scramble Areas, does some absurd damage, and may cause Fainting for every enemy hit as well.
