While the majority of people believe that devil fruits belonging to the logia type are the rarest, it has been firmly established that mythical zoan type devil fruits are even rarer. These devil fruits allow their users to transform into prehistoric creatures and grant them incredible powers. Over the course of the series, more and more mythical zoan type devil fruits have been revealed.
One of the more recent reveals came during the fight betweenthe Heart Pirates andthe Blackbeard Pirates. When Blackbeard made his way to Law’s location, the Yonko was seen riding Stronger, who was Doc Q’s horse. What was astonishing about this event was that Blackbeard was in the air, and it was because of Stronger. The horse had eaten the Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus.
How Powerful Is The Devil Fruit?
The Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus allows its user to transform into Pegasus, a mythical creature from Greek mythology. Pegasus is a very prominent creature in Greek mythology and it has the ability to fly. It had wings that granted it the power of flight. According to the Greeks, Pegasus was born after Perseus slew Medusa. The horse was bound to be special as it was fathered by Poseidon, who was the God of seas, earthquakes, and horses.
Pegasus was not easily tameable, and it ran away whenever someone came close to it. Eventually, the horse was petted by Bellerophon, an ancient Greek hero. The two of them achieved a lot of fame together, but sadly, Bellerophon met a gruesome end at the hands of Zeus. Pegasus was spared and Zeus ordered it to carry his thunderbolts and eventually turned it into a constellation. Clearly, Pegasus had an important role in Greek mythology, so fans expected the same from Stronger.

Despite having a mythical zoan type devil fruit, Stronger remained just as sickly as he was prior to consuming it. When Blackbeard was using Stronger as his ride, Doc Q warned him that the horse could not carry both of them. As Blackbeard used thepower of the Gura Gura no Miagainst Law, it also affected his own crew.
The shockwaves caused by his attacks were so powerful that they caused the death of Stronger. This was confirmed by Doc Q when the horse’s lifeless body continued to fall from the sky and directly into the sea. With Stronger’s death, the devil fruit is back in circulation, meaning anyone can claim and eat it.
Will There Be Another User?
While Doc Q was emotionally attached to Stronger to some extent, it would be foolish to assume that he would keep on mourning its death forever. Clearly, Doc Q cannot travel on his own, so he needs another ride. So, it will be interesting to see if his next animal will also be sickly instead of being strong and healthy.
It has been made clear on multiple occasions that each and every devil fruit that the Blackbeard Pirates have consumed has been taken from elsewhere, so it is very likely that the Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus was also acquired via some underhanded methods. The devil fruit is definitely powerful and in the hands of the right person, it could do wonders. Being one of the few devil fruits that grant its user the ability to fly, it is very special even in the mythical zoan class. Furthermore, the mythical zoan properties of the devil fruit bolster the physical attributes of its user.
If a human does get their hands on the devil fruit, it would be intriguing to see if they would become a centaur while trying out the hybrid form. While the possibility of the devil fruit making a return definitely exists, there is also a chance that the devil fruit might never appear again.
