Summary

To celebrate its one-year anniversary,Overwatch 2shared some of its community statistics, including the fact that Ana is currently the most played hero in the game. These statistics give players a fun, informative, and hilarious look at some of the data collected byOverwatch 2over the last year.

Overwatch 2officially launched on June 19, 2025, marking one year since the free-to-play sequel of the popular Blizzard hero shooter was released. To celebrate the milestone,Overwatch 2has been running a special anniversary event featuring special challenges, alimited-time Overwatch Credits shop, and throwbacks to popular game modes throughout the year.

Now,Overwatch 2has shared some community stats showing the highlights of the last year. These staggering statistics detail some truly impressive feats. One player reached Battle Pass Tier 1058–enough levels to complete over 13 seasons worth of Battle Passes. Nearly 27 million players have been crushed byD.Va summoning her mech inOverwatch 2, and there have been close to 32 trillion boops by Lucio, Brigitte, and Winston combined. However, one of the more interesting statistics is that Ana was the most played hero over the entire year.

Though Ana is a popular character, few expected her to be the most played hero inOverwatch 2right now. In general, support players are in high demand, and the role also currently has the least heroes available in it. That said, Ana has one of the more unique kits among support heroes, and her recentMythic Skin inOverwatch 2Season 6undoubtedly drew even more attention to the sharpshooting healer.

Fans got a kick out of these surprisingOverwatch 2stats. In the comments forOverwatch 2’s Twitter post where the infographic was shared, fans made jokes about how many of the D.Va crushings were their fault, or how they think Pharah could use a break after flying for a combined total of over 400 years. Fans also pointed out, considering the short timeProp Hunt was available inOverwatch 2, that players spending almost 600,000 hours playing it is proof Blizzard should consider making it an evergreen game mode.

Overwatch 2’s first year of live servicehas been far from perfect. That said, despite its poor reviews on Steam, the population forOverwatch 2has remained consistent over the last year, and surpasses even the highest player count for its predecessor.Overwatch 2still has room to improve, but it is safe to say the Blizzard FPS isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Overwatch 2is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
