Summary

As part ofOverwatch 2’s newest teaser for Season 10, Blizzard hinted at what seems to be a Mythic Mercy skin coming to the game soon. The potential Mythic skin would be the tenth of its kind added toOverwatch 2.

Overwatch 2’s Mythic skinsrepresent the rarest tier, sitting one above Legendary. These cosmetic makeovers give users multiple customization options, which are sometimes unlocked as a user progresses through a battle pass or unlocked all at once in the pass' final tier. So far, Blizzard has released one new Mythic skin with each battle pass, and the developer seems to have partially revealed the skin coming in Season 10’s battle pass releasing on April 16.

The officialOverwatchTwitter account posted a short, 16-second teaser mostly focusing onSeason 10’s new hero called Venture. However, the teaser’s last five seconds revealed a new skin mostly shrouded in darkness. The mysterious hero reads a voice line saying, “No mercy,” leading many to speculate that Blizzard is clearly teasing a Mythic Mercy skin coming in Season 10 as its most valuable cosmetic item. The voice line is read in a more evil-sounding tone than Mercy’s usual voice lines, but it seems to be the same voice actor. The skin sports a skull-like mask with glowing red eyes, giving the popular support hero an uncharacteristically intimidating appearance. If Blizzard is in fact teasing a Mythic Mercy skin, which seems quite likely, it will presumably be unlockable as part of Season 10’s premium battle pass.

There has been speculation in recent months of aMythic Mercy skin coming toOverwatch 2. The hero’s popularity and strong presence inOverwatchlore make Mercy seem like an obvious choice to headline a battle pass. However, Mercy has yet to receive a Mythic makeover.

Overwatch 2’s Mythic Moira skinin Season 9 allowed users to customize its weapon, mask, and color; the teased Season 10 skin will likely have similar options. The Moira skin even came with an additional feature that modified the hero’s highlight intros to make them much flashier, although it’s unclear if Season 10’s Mythic skin will include a similar upgrade.

Season 10’s Mythic Shop Brings New Approach to Rarest Skins

Beginning with Season 10, Mythic skins will be unlocked in a new way thanks to Blizzard’s recently announcedMythic Shop forOverwatch 2. The shop allows premium battle pass users to unlock and upgrade current and past Mythic skins by progressing through the season. The Mythic Shop lets users choose which customization upgrades they would like to invest in for each Mythic skin, allowing players to spread their earned points over multiple skins and unlock their favorite features before moving on.
