Palworld’sPaladiusisan intimidating Neutral-type Palthat resembles a knight, wielding a lance in one hand and a shield in the other. It is known to be free of all negative emotions, but one look into the eyes of Paladius shows that there is still deep-rooted hatred that burns within. A true guardian of its surroundings, Paladius will go to battle with any person or Pal that challenges it, and won’t be easy to take down.
Paladius is tough to find, and the task of defeating it won’t come easy. Proper preparation and team building will go a long way to ensuring players add Paladius to their Paldeck, and gain access to one of the strongest Neutral Pals inPalworld.

Where to Find Paladius
Regardless of it being day or night, players will not cross Paladius in the wild. This is due to the fact that it is not available as a wild encounter, and can only be added to the Paldeck via two methods. Hatching one from aHuge Common Eggis the easiest way to get Paladius, but for those up to the challenge, a Level 50 Alpha Boss Paladius can be encountered.
Head over to the Deep Sand Dunes fast travel point, and head northwest to find this Alpha Boss. Be cautious with the approach, asPaladius will be paired with Necromus, forcing the player to take both on at the same time. If that wasn’t enough, the treacherous desert heat can be a bother, and those temperatures drop at nighttime. For a long battle, here’s how to prepare for the cold and the heat:

Players should also consider bringing Frostallion Noct and Shadowbeak, two Pals that do considerable Dark damage, which is super effective against the Neutral type. They both have a mounting partner skill, which provides an additional boost to Dark-type attacks. Hoocrates' Dark Knowledge is also an excellent support partner skill, as it boosts the power of Dark moves.
Bring manyLegendary Pal Spherestoo, as these will be the only effective Pal Spheres to catch Paladius. Anything less will carry a subpar 1% chance, and is not worth the time or materials to create them.

What Is Paladius Good For?
Though Paladius is an exceptional warrior on the battlefield, it carries some work suitability to be utilized back at the base. Paladius hasLevel 2 Lumberingand Mining capabilities, adding support to stockpiling up essential crafting materials, such as Wood, Stone, and Ore. Since it’s only possible to catch Paladius in the late stages of the game, it’s easily outclassed in both work suitability departments.
Paladius' partner skill, Holy Knight of the Firmament, is a Neutral-type skill that allows players to mount it and gain access to a triple jump ability. This makes scaling large gaps between two platforms easier than pulling out a glider or a Pal with a flying mount.

This will require players to unlock the Paladius Saddle, which becomes available at Player Level 49 and takes aPal Gear Workbenchto craft. Players will need Leather (x100), Ingot (x300), Paldium Fragments (x85), and Refined Ingot (x200) to craft a Paladius Saddle.
Paladius in Combat
Paladius earns its reputation asPalworld’s greatest defender, boasting the best Defense stat in the game. Paired with a formidable HP stat, it’s attack is its weakest point. Fortunately, Paladius has access to some versatility, which negates his lack of being super-effective against any other element. Here is the list of all the naturally-learned moves Paladius has in its arsenal:
Having access to Ice attacks gives Paladius a good counter plan againstDragon-type Pals, though it still remains weak to Dark Pals. Setting up with Power Bomb or Iceberg will give Paladius a great quick attack that recharges every 15 seconds, while any of Blizzard Spike, Pal Blast, or Spear Thrust guarantees Paladius will cause tons of havoc.
Paired with a good counter to Dark types in the team will be essential to keeping Paladius as healthy and active as possible, and ensuring the player remains shielded in tough battles.
