The leaker who first leakedPersona 3 Reloadhas confirmed that Atlus' upcoming remake will not be making it to Nintendo Switch. After a series of leaks and rumors throughout 2023, Atlus announced that a remake ofPersona 3was in-development. ThisPersona 3remake was first revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase. A few days after the game was announced to be coming to Xbox, Atlus was quick to list its other platforms, including PlayStation and Steam.
One platform absent from the lineup of platforms was the Nintendo Switch, which wasn’t listed on Atlus' website or other promotional material regarding the game. There were some leaks and rumors that suggested thatPersona 3 Reloadmight be coming to Switch, but nothing was officially confirmed. Recently, a leaker state\d that unfortunately, the remake will likely not be hitting Nintendo’s console at launch.

This information was given out by Japanese Twitter user MbKKssTBhz5 (from here will be referred to as Midori), who first uncovered the domains of “P3RE.jp” and “P5T” before their announcements, and has insights into the inner workings of Atlus itself. They’ve been giving fans plenty of updates aboutPersona 3 Reload,Persona 5 Tactica, and evendevelopments regardingPersona 6. Recently they had reached out to someone at Atlus who stated that there are currently no plans or publisher deals in place for aPersona 3 ReloadSwitch port.
They stated that this also applies to Atlus' other RPG that was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase,Metaphor: ReFantazio.Metaphor: ReFantaziois coming to PlayStation and Steamas well as Xbox. Midori explains that a Switch version of either game would likely be separate from the current launch plans, at that Atlus could be developing the ports for a later date and for it to be a surprise. They, however, note fans should not get their hopes up and expect a Switch version for either game for now.
Atlus has done quite a bit of work in the last couple of years to bringPersonato other platforms. This includes portingPersona 3 Portable,Persona 4 Golden, andPersona 5 Royalto Nintendo’s hybrid console, though these port jobs had Sega leading development. While its possible that thePersona 3 ReloadSwitch port can come after launch, fans should heed Midori’s advice and not set themselves up for disappointment.
