The most recent trailer video released forPokemon ScarletandViolettreated the franchise’s fanbase to a whole range of new information. Offering more details than thePokemon ScarletandVioletannouncement trailer, the community learned about the game’s official release dates, each version’s legendary Pokemon, and was introduced to a new Normal type Hog Pokemon called Lechonk. Now, a fan has produced a crocheted version of Lechonk that looks like it is perfect to put in any fan’s pocket.
ThePokemoncommunity will likely agree that the list of new Pokemon introduced in every generation is one of the franchise’s most anticipated features. Though thenew region inPokemon ScarletandVioletremains unnamed, the game’s new trailer revealed new and returning Pokemon. Given just how enthusiastic thePokemonfanbase can be, and with Lechonk seemingly becoming the darling of the community the moment it was revealed, it is not surprising for fans to already be making artwork and drawing up theories about the Hog Pokemon.

On Reddit, user 1UpAshe shared a photo of the crochet version of Lechonk that they created with the rest of thePokemoncommunity. The crochet plush looks incredibly cute yet accurate. The plush figure showcases a lot of the Pokemon’s details, from Lechonk’s round body, its pink snout and feet, to the yellow tears lining the bottom of its eyes. According to 1UpAshe’s profile, they seem to have quite a lot of experience in makingcrochetPokemonplush toys. Their Instagram and website both share news about their latest crafting project, and the artist also gives back to the community by providing free crochet patterns that fellow fans can follow.
Many replies on the Reddit thread showed their adoration and love for 1UpAshe’s crochet version of Lechonk. Though some fans questioned if the Pokemon’s name was real, the community shared some facts and theories revolving around the meaning behindLechonk’s name inPokemon ScarletandViolet. However, it is quite obvious that the fans on the online forum are still as smitten with the Hog Pokemon as when they first saw it in the trailer.
Lechonk is not the only new pocket creature introduced in the secondPokemon ScarletandViolettrailer. Other Pokemon such as Pawmi and Smoliv were also revealed in the footage. Hopefully 1UpAshe will work their crafting magic and make more crochet versions of the new Pokemon from Generation 9 in the future.
