As Eevee and its evolutions have remained fan favorites with players through the generations of games, these Pokemon frequently have appeared on Reddit in the form of fan art.

One of the most recent Eeveelution-inspired fan creations came from a Reddit user known as Danderlyon. Specifically, thePokemonfan shared their painting of Umbreon, with the final product having an impressive level of detail. In the picture, Umbreon sat staring ahead, with its eyes having a striking gold coloration. Impressively, the artist replicated many design elements of the Pokemon making it recognizable. Some notable aspects included the gold rings on its legs and head and the tufts of fur on the edges of its body and tail that were highlighted by the piece’s lighting
While the design of Umbreon was adorable, the rest of the setting made the painting stand out. Despite most of the background being black, the same color as the Pokemon, Danderlyon had Umbreon sit in the middle of a golden ring, with the color also going up the back of the wall behind the pocket monster. Not only did this color match the accents on Umrbeon’s body, but it also created a striking contrast between dark and light in the image, helping to direct the viewer’s focus toward the center of the painting.
