It should be stressed that thePokemon Legends: Z-Astarters havenotactually been announced at the time of this writing, but the leading theory is that they will be Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup. As pointed out by GamesRadar, this theory has been formed for two reasons. For one, thePokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC trailer showcased theArceusstarters alongside Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup, and secondly, that trio of Pokemon all potentially fit the French theme of the Kalos region, whereZ-Ais set.

Rumored Pokemon Legends: Z-A Starters

Snivy evolves into Serperior, who is inspired by French nobility;Torchic evolves into Blaziken, who is inspired by roosters, France’s national animal; and finally, Piplup evolves into Empoleon, named after Napoleon Bonaparte. Now, all of this could just be a coincidence, so fans should keep that in mind. However, it does seem that Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup would make the most sense as the starters forPokemon Legends: Z-A, considering their connections with France.
