A player of Niantic’s mobile titlePokemon GOhas recently shared that their attempt to fill up an in-game gym with Pokemon from Eevee’s evolution line has been thwarted by a single Smeargle. Given that Eevee can evolve into eight different Pokemon that can easily fill up an entire lineup needed todefend aPokemon GOgym, players likely found it amusing to see the all-Eevee evolution roster broken up by the Smeargle.
Despite the mobile game’s age,Pokemon GOhas kept its community active and engaged throughout the years. The developers continuously provide the player base with new activities such asPokemon GOraid events and special research tasksto incentivize them to log in. Even the title’s base features such as catching different Pokemon in the wild, spinning Poke Stops to collect materials, and defending Pokemon gyms from competitor teams still bring a lot of fun and excitement to the fans. And some players even find it entertaining to play around with something as simple as a Pokemon roster in an in-game gym.

On Reddit, user DrChooo shared an image that showcased the almost entirelyEevee evolution Pokemonlineup they had in theirPokemon GOgym. In the photo, Vaporeon, Glaceon, Umbreon, and Espeon are at the front of the roster, while Smeargle can be seen beside Sylveon, standing at the back of the crowd. Despite not getting all the Eevee evolution Pokemon in one gym roster, players may still be challenged to fight this particular lineup, given how different every Pokemon’s type is from the other.
Fellow Redditors who saw DrChooo’s post seemed to be very amused by the photo they shared. Some commented that Smeargle continues to be a photobomber, playing true to how theNormal-type Pokemon was implemented inPokemon GOback in 2019. Players will likely recall that this is still the only way that they can encounter the Pokemon in the mobile game. Others made comments about how an all Eevee evolution gym in Pokemon GO is boring, and they are the lineup got broken with the Smeargle.
Nevertheless, having Smeargle in the midst of all the Eevee evolutions in thePokemon GOgym likely brought laughter to some of the game’s fans. This goes to show that simple features still have some bearing to the game’s community. Hopefully more of these fun and interesting posts will be shared with fellow players of the mobile title in the future.
