APokemon Scarlet and Violetfan has created Paradox forms for Mega Mewtwo X and Y.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetcelebrate their first anniversary this year after introducing players to the Paldea region, and the popular Paradox forms of Pokemon.

It’s no secret that Game Freak always brings out different Pokemon variants or unusual gimmicks. One example is theZ-Moves introduced inPokemon Sun and Moon, which allow players to unleash powerful attacks using the Z-Crystals. While the Z-Moves didn’t become a hit with fans, the Paradox Pokemon went in the opposite direction. The Paradox forms gave Pokemon new looks and stories, further growing the franchise’s ever-expanding lore.

Twitter user OnduRegion shared fan art with what it would look like if Mega Mewtwo X and Y had Paradox forms. Named Chaotic Mane, this variant of Mega Mewtwo X is a Past Paradox Pokemon. It has horns on the top of its head, a tail with scales, and a sort of mane, giving the Pokemon strong vibes of a dragon. Mega Mewtwo Y turned into the Future Paradox Pokemon Iron Clone, which keeps the original base design where Mewtwo is smaller and lighter. The futuristic variant has a visor that works with the Pokemon’s eyes, and the structures on its head have become headphones. Overall, it’s a design that will remind fans of otherfuturistic Pokemon like Deoxysdue to its alien-like appearance.

As well as presenting the Paradox forms of Mega Mewtwo X and Y, OnduRegion revealed the shiny versions of the Pokemon. Chaotic Mane appears in a color palette that turns it into Zoroark’s lost brother. Meanwhile, Iron Clone is green, which with the addition of red details would make it a good friend for Iron Leaves, theParadox variant of the Legendary Pokemon Virizion. The artist also created Pokedex entries, revealing Chaotic Mane as a Fighting/Dark-type Pokemon that was Arceus' right-hand man. Iron Clone is a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokemon created by an ancient civilization to concentrate and materialize Mew’s power.

Pokemonfans have already extensively explored the concept of the Paradox Pokemon, but the community shows that it still has plenty of ideas to share. After all, the premise of past and future brings a world of possibilities forPokemonfans to be inspired by, producing impressive fan art. If the Paradox Pokemon is already one of the most popular aspects ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, thearrival of Paradox Cobalion and Raikoupromises to keep the subject hot amongPokemonfans.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare available now for Nintendo Switch.
