Sony has released everything onPS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium that it’s going to for August 2023, minusSea of Starson August 29, which means have plenty to grab and more to come in September 2023. The most recent addition forPS Plus Extra and Premium was on August 5, which added games likeMoving Out 2, Destroy All Humans: 2 Reprobed, Lawn Mowing Simulator, and much, much more. Fans can expect the same quality when it comes to the PS Plus Extra and Premium in September, but of course, the PS Plus free games for September 2023 come first.
Fans can expect those titles to be announced on August 30 before their addition on September 5, but as to what they’ll be is anyone’s guess. With that in mind, here are a few pokes at possiblePS Plusgames for September (or, at the very least, games that would do great on the service).

PS Plus Free Game for September 2023: Sifu
Sifuis a beloved Roguelike game where players must engage in martial arts, seek revenge or justice, and manage a fun, unique age system.Sifureviewslargely applauded its combat, story, environments, and various mechanics, with the game receiving support since its initial launch in early 2023. It has since come to Switch and Xbox, but given that its first home was PS5 and PS4, it would make a fitting headliner for a free game selection. If someone missed out the first time, it’s never too late for a run through.
PS Plus Free Game for September 2023: Tales of Arise
Tales of Arisefalls on the other end ofSifu: ifSifuis about short runs and mastery of action-oriented gameplay,Tales of Ariseis a marathon of intense RPG mechanicswith an expansive story. What they have common is how easily both can consume a player’s time, making them more than worthwhile additions to PS Plus.Sifumay eat up a player’s time in short bursts, depending on how they approach their runs, but Tales of Arise is going to enrapture them in long playthrough sessions. Each game would lock in the sheer quantity and, most importantly, need for the PS Plus Essential Tier.
PS Plus Free Game for September 2023: Gris
Of course, length is but a factor of a video game and not a determination of quality. The previous two games offer a lot of content, but sometimes the shortest games are the most impactful. EnterGris: a 3-to-4 hour long gamewhere players can enjoy a minimalistic but dedicated art style, with platformer gameplay. The story is about death and loss, and it tells it so potently that the 3 hours may feel like an eternity. All in all, Gris would be a great way to balance out PS Plus additions that have tons of hours of content.
PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for September 2023 Wish List
Given the sheer quality and quantity of PS Plus Extra and Premium additions, it’s next to impossible to get any game right, but there are so many that would make great additions. Following thePS4 port ofRed Dead Redemption, having the sequel return to the service would be a great move for players to continue their Western journeys.RDR2was on PS Plus Premium before, as a leftover from PS Now, but it was removed last year. Bringing it back would be welcome though, while games likeVandal Heartscould capture a nice flair of the PS1 era. If Sony wanted to double up with Rockstar, it would also be great to see the belovedMidnight Club 3make an appearance on PS Plus Premium.
