The best guns inReady or Notare often those that provide players with versatile methods of play, as most of the missions spell the demise of players for one mistake. Players are going to want toenter each mission, and combat every hostile encounter as if it were their last inReady or Not, and to do so, it’s wise to bring along the best SMG.

The best SMG inReady or Notis dependent on the player, especially with a wide selection of 10, all customizable with their own attachments. However, there are some SMGs that are better than the rest, andplayers might be able to gain the edge they need.

10MP5/10MM

Fast Firing, High Recoil

A variation of the MP5 that was made to meet the FBI’s needs in the late 80, the 10mm cartridge packs a heavy punch.

This variant of the MP5 features 10mm cartridges that will pack a heavier punch than the usual 9mm, meaning that players will see a better penetration through armor. It’s a decent weapon against enemies that have brought armor into their crusade. Whilst it may fire fast, it has a high recoil that makes players less accurate, which can be a bother to those who want tosweep areas in quick succession.

mp5a3 smg

9MP5A3

Modern With A Collapsible Stock

A modernized version of the MP5, with an improvement kit that extends its usability within the requirements of weapon systems in this current decade.

There is nothing inherently groundbreaking about the MP5A3, and it’s hard to beat a classic, which is why the MP5A2 ranks slightly higher. Yet, there’s still joy in using this small and modern weapon over the predecessor, with a Picatinny rail system and collapsible stock allowing for more freedom of movement, as well as 4 attachments from optics, muzzle, underbarrel, and overbarrel.

8MP7

40 Round Magazine

A personal defense weapon originally designed for fielding with rear-echelon troops during the Cold War, its short and compact nature made it popular with law enforcement units.

The MP7, a very small SMG inReady or Not, is capable of being an angel of death in the right hands. There’s a good reason that the MP7 packs such a large capacity of ammo, and that’s because it’s not exactly the hardest-hitting. However, with its small design, it can allow players to move fast and make swift movements in the field as they search for hostiles, able to shred them fast thanks to the fire rate and high ammunition count.

7P90

50 Round Magazine

A personal defense weapon with an unconventional appearance originally designed for fielding with rear-echelon troops during the Golf War.

The compact bullpup design of the P90 makes it a game-changer when it comes to close-quarter combat. Within these close-range engagements, the P90 acts as royalty and should be a gun to fear. This all comes from the fact that it has 50 rounds of ammunition, meaning players won’t need to reload for a fair few gunfights, and they can keep their enemies locked in and scared for longer, especially with appropriate bullets that can defeat body armor of all kinds in just over a fifth of the total ammo count of a magazine.

6UMP-45

Slow Firing, Great Stopping Power

Intended as a successor to the dated MP5, this slow firing submachine gun chambered in .45 ACP boasts stopping power and excellent ergonomics.

The UMP-45 is an odd case for an SMG, as it’s mainly a ‘lite’ version of an Assault Rifle due to its decent range and stopping power capabilities, all at the expense of its rate of fire. Whilst the UMP-45 is decent, it lacks the necessary ingredient for a true quality SMG, which involves a high fire rate to save players from dangerous situations at close-range battlesas if they were John Wick.

ump 9 smg

5UMP-9

High Magazine Count, High Fire Rate & Recoil

A 9mm version in the UMP platform. Compared to it’s .45 counterpart, this variant has a higher magazine capacity, slightly higher fire rate and boasts a more moderate recoil.

There’s always an advantage to using an SMG that features a decent rate of fire, and the UMP-9 proves just that. Whilst other SMGs inReady or Notmight boast of a higher fire rate or even greater stopping power, there’s nothing wrong with being reliable, especially with a good magazine count to make sure players aren’t going to run out of bullets before their final shot upon theupdate 1.0 release.

4MP5A2

Reliable & Controllable

This iconic submachine gun set the standard for law enforcement for half a century.

There is a reason why this iconic submachine gun has been the standard for law enforcement for half a century. The MP5A2 is often described as reliable, controllable, and a ubiquitous companion. If players want a lightweight weapon, and one that can help them through most hostile situations, then the MP5A2 is a grand one to choose, especially with its capacity of 30 bullets, allowing it to easily take out enemies, regardless of if they are wearing armor or not.

mp9 smg

Compact, Lightweight, High Rate of Fire

An Austrian design, upgraded for modern use.

The MP9 is the near-perfect choice for players who want something efficient for close-range engagements. The MP9 boasts of a lightweight weapon, which has an incredibly high rate of fire. Players can find 30 bullets in a magazine, which may make them find themselves running empty quicker than other SMGs, but that is negated by the damage capabilities and the compact design that will allow them to control their movements and damage more regularly.

2MPX

Low Recoil, Fast Reload

This modern pistol caliber carbine combines the best aspects of a submachine gun with the controls of the AR platform, maximizing familiarity and comfort.

Fast firing, fast to reload, and not limited by recoil, the MPX is one of the best guns inReady or Notfor a reason. If players still want some betterment for this weapon, then they can look to the attachments, where they will find an array of modifications available to make this compact rifle a more accessible SMG. Players willfind the best of both worldsfor an Assault Rifle and SMG hybrid in the MPX, and it’s one worth wielding to get through the most stressful ofReady or Notmissions.

1SPC9

Light, Compact, High Fire Rate

Special Purpose Carbine chambered in 9mm. Designed with the controls of the AR Platform.

Bringing the SPC9 to the fight is always a good idea for close-quarter situations. It’s one of the best SMGs for a reason, and that reason is how suited it is for close-range gunfights in the1.0 release of the game. This weapon can bring players success in smaller maps, where close quarters and tight corners are assured. Players can safely unload their rounds thanks to the high fire rate and compact design of the gun, ensuring whoever is facing down the barrel will be dead.
