Summary

According to a new rumor, Duos and Trios lobbies are coming to Reload mode inFortnite. This comes after community outcry about the mode being restricted to squads only. Reload is still a new mode inFortnite, so additions and changes to the mode will be coming soon.

Reload is a new game mode introduced toFortnitein Chapter 5’s third season. In Reload, players compete for a Victory Royale on a smaller map than the typical Battle Royale mode. On this smaller map, players will be able to battle it out at nine classic locations fromFortnite, including Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park, and Retail Row. 40 players drop onto the map rather than the normal 100 players of Battle Royale and gather loot at these iconic points of interest to ultimately be the last squad standing.

According toImPeQu on Twitter,FortniteReload will be getting Trio and Duo support in the near future.FortniteReload launched on June 22, and at launch, the mode only allows players to queue in Squads. In Battle Royale and No Build, players don’t have that restriction, being able to queue in Trios, Duos, and even Solo. According to ImPeQu, this restriction won’t last long as Epic has added both a Duos and Trios mode to the API. This means that players should soon be able to queue up as a Duo or Trio in the near future.

Despite Duos and Trios being added to the game mode’s API, there’s still a little while to go until players will be able to queue in those modes. The playlists for Duos and Trios are not in the game’s files yet, only the API. This means that Duos and Trios can’t be added to Reload until Epic releases an update adding them to the files. Although support for Duos and Trios is still at least an update away,Fortniteplayers can still enjoy Reload mode in Squads.

It’s unknown if Reload is here to stay, but if it gets a lot of players in its first few days, there’s a good chance of it lasting. And so far, fans seem to be loving Reload. As a mix ofFortniteOG and a big team game mode, it’s likely to make a splash in theFortnitecommunity. Players can hop on right now andfight through iconicFortnitelocations to earn a Reload Victory Royale.
