Marvel Studios' Disney Plus hitShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawjust released a pair of new character posters for 2 of its standout newcomers from episode 4. Featuring an extremely exclusive superhero outfit designer and a rival lawyer turned unlikely ally, the posters are just the latest in a series released alongside the show itself, and it’s sure to keep growing.
The first poster shows off Griffin Matthews as Luke Jacobson, the scene-stealing fashion designer whose services Jen’s friends acquired to help Jen/She-Hulk(Tatiana Maslany) improve her wardrobe. Luke himself certainly made an impression on both the characters and the audience, coming off as an enjoyably stuck-up analogue to similar superhero designerEdna Mode fromThe Incredibles. But he also helped facilitate the exciting stinger for episode 6 that featured a sneak peek of Daredevil’s costume. So he definitely came in on a high note.

The other poster in this series from Marvel Studios features Renée Elise Goldsberry as Mallory Book, who previously showed up in episode 4 before making a more substantial appearance the following week. In episode 5, she defended her rival, Jen, in court againstJameela Jamil’s Titaniaover the use of the name “She-Hulk.” The lawsuit ultimately ended in Jen’s favor, though not before parading a train of her unfortunate dating endeavors before the courtroom in a moment that probably felt a little too real for a number of viewers.
Viewers might recognize Matthews from his time on Kaley Cuoco’sThe Flight Attendantwhere he plays Shane Matthews. He’s also made appearances onWeedsandLaw & Order: Special Victims Unitover the years. But odds are few of those roles were anything like the delightfully haughty Luke Jacobson, even if it would likely be enjoyable to see such a character bouncing off detective Olivia Benson.
Goldsberry, on the other hand, is perhaps most well-known asAngelica Schuyler inHamilton. However, her success isn’t limited only to the stage. She was also on the classic soap operaOne Life To Livefrom 1999-2007 and even appeared in Andrew Garfield’s surprise 2021 hittick, tick… BOOM!Recently, she’s been doing a decent amount of voice-over work for shows likeEureka!andFast & Furious Spy Racers.
She-Hulkhas been wowing audiences with its unexpectedly clever writing and relatively low-stakes storytelling compared tothe rest of the MCU. As a legal comedy, it’s certainly a departure from what fans may have been expecting. But that may be exactly what the franchise needs and stars like Matthews and Goldsberry are sure to keep that quality level high.
