ASkyrimplayer has encountered a hilarious fight between a mudcrab and a Thalmor Justicar, ending in complete disaster. Underestimating the power of a mudcrab is amistake many players make on their firstSkyrimplaythrough, and this Thalmor NPC clearly falls into that same trap.
Theenemies featured inSkyrimare a diverse bunch, with hundreds of different opponents for gamers to test themselves against. Mudcrabs are traditionally seen as some of the weakest enemies inElder Scrollsgames, despite being arguably the most recognizable. It’s funny to see them still creating memorable moments forSkyrimgamers all these years later, and hopefully, they make a return in the long-awaitedElder Scrolls 6.

In the clip posted by Redditor MushySoup63838, they encounter the fight while it’s already almost over. It begins with the Thalmor Justicar declaring “You are but a dog, and I am your master!” The statement becomes ironic almost immediately, as the mudcrab slays the Thalmor enemy in the water. MushySoup63838 watches on, as the corpse begins to float downriver. These are the moments that the land ofSkyrimhas become known for over the years, making it feel like a truly living world that players are a part of. It’s a big reason that the game retains such an active player base, even over eleven years after its release.
Other players in the thread realized that the clip likely had some hilarious implications aboutSkyrim’s Thalmor lore. One gamer pointed out that with the Altmer’s long lifespan, the Thalmor Justicar probably spent years honing their destruction magic training, only to be defeated by a crab. It’s certainly an unfortunate end for the character, and one that seemed very avoidable. Another user claimed that had the Thalmor instead focused a little more on restoration magic, he’d have the strength to defeat the mudcrab, and it’s hard to argue with that statement.

Everyone has their own dream version ofThe Elder Scrolls 6, and hopefully, Bethesda is able to please as many players as possible with the eventual release. The longer the wait for the sequel becomes, the more important it is for the developer to get it right. One thing is for sure though - many gamers want to see the return of mudcrabs, so they can continue to cause chaos across the land of Tamriel.
