The player, Reddit user DaTreeMoss, captured the moment onvanillaSkyrimfor the Nintendo Switch. DaTreeMoss noted they were trying to complete a Forsworn quest line in a creative manner, using frenzy from invisibility rather than engaging enemies. The result was a funny clip of enemies attacking each other near DaTreeMoss, which turned into a strangely cinematic moment as the killcam activated.
The clip starts with DaTreeMoss sitting in stealth watching their enemies beat each other up. Suddenly, another NPC surprises the enemies, running in from off-screen to break up the scuffle. One can imagine DaTreeMoss laughing from their undetectable position when suddenly they realize their invisibility is running out. Quickly, they recast their invisibility spell, but for some reason the recast triggered a slow-motion killcam displaying DaTreeMoss casting the spell.
Strange and funny moments inSkyrimhappen to every player, and Reddit users couldn’t help but crack jokes about this one. One user joked that DaTreeMoss must have killed a fly with his arm, causing a killcam to trigger. Another user joked that DaTreeMoss must have confused a nearby enemy to death with the random invisibility cast. However, some users pointed out that the interaction may have been caused by cast timing and frenzy. What they said is that DaTreeMoss' frenzy counted as a kill, and that the kill occurred at the same time as the invisibility cast, causing the game to think invisibility killed the enemy. Whatever the cause, the killcam was random, and was stranger due to DaTreeMoss being the epicenter of said killcam.
Due to the sheer size ofSkyrim, unique events like this are bound to happen eventually. Whether they happen naturally or whetherevents are set up bySkyrimplayers, the game is full of random moments. In this case, DaTreeMoss was left scratching their head, trying to figure out exactly what happened in the strange case of the invisibility kill.
