The Pokemon Company has confirmed a Trick or Trade booster bundle coming to thePokemon TCGsoon, and it will feature some set-exclusive cards that will likely become coveted in the future. Some US retailers have started to sell this Halloween-themedPokemon TCGset early, as they still aren’t expected to go on sale for at least two weeks.With the summer coming to an end, many retailers are preparing for the Halloween season by selling bite-sized candies, and Pokebeach has spotted some that are already selling thePokemon TCGHalloween cards early. Similar to the small chocolates familiar to the season, thesePokemon TCGpacks were designed for being given away during the October holiday. The Trick or Trade booster bundle includes 40 mini-packs that each offer three cards, one less than thePokemon TCGpacks from McDonald’sin the past. The new packs of cards aren’t supposed to be sold until September 1, but some of these retailers may have inadvertently broken the street date by not only stocking the shelves with these packs but selling them to some lucky collectors as well. The booster bundle costs $14.99 and each package that’s been seen so far includes every card in the Halloween lineup.

ThePokemoncards that are in thisTrick or Trade booster bundleare reprints of classic Halloween cards including Gengar, Mewtwo, Mimikyu, and Gorgeist, and each of them has a Pikachu pumpkin stamp in the spot that identifies which set a card comes from. LuckyPokemon TCGfans may find holographic versions of Gengar, Mewtwo, Mismagius, Dusknoir, Darkrai, Chandelure, Trevenant, Gorgeist, Mimikyu, and Hatterene, while there are a total of 30 unique cards to collect in the full set. According to fans that have secured some of these bundles, Chandelure and Darkrai are the rarest cards in the set, but both can easily be found in one bag of cards, making it easy to acquire the full set.

While somePokemonfans have anticipated that these booster bundles will fly off the shelves because ofPokemon TCGscalperslike in the past, others have suggested that the cards will become common in no time. Although Kohl’s and Kroger’s have been confirmed to have sold thePokemon TCGHalloween Trick or Trade booster bundles, it’s currently unclear how many locations or if other retailers have started selling them early.
