AStar Wars Jedi: Survivorplayer has discovered a hilarious secret boss battle while playing the game. Theboss battles inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorare some of the most difficult in the whole series, but this particular boss won’t prove much of a challenge to many players.
Although it’s early days, it seems as though Respawn has hidden plenty of secrets and references for players to discover. Another player recently found a greatAttack of the Clonesreference inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, showing that the developer has pulled from all corners of theStar Warsfranchise for different secrets. It should be noted that these are the things being found in the first few days after release, so there could be plenty more tucked away that may not be uncovered by the community for a while yet.

This particular Easter egg was noticed by Redditor NoPersonKnowsWhoIAm, who discovered a lone Scout Trooper in one of the game’s levels. He’s not just anyScout Trooper inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. This is “Rick the Door Technician,” which the game counts as a boss battle. Rick the Door Technician talks a big game, screaming as he charges at Cal Kestis. He’s easily defeated in a single hit, however. Upon death, the game even gives players a hilarious “Boss Defeated” popup. Players actually don’t have to kill Rick the Door Technician, as he’s easily avoided in the game.
A common theory in the thread is that Rick is a nod to Matt the Radar Technician, the subject of a 2015SNLsketch featuring Adam Driver as Kylo Ren from theStar Warssequels. It’s a pretty deep-cut reference that not everyone will understand, so it’s interesting that this could be a nod to Matt. Others simply declared him the best boss in the entire game, with one player claiming that “Vader got nothing on Rick.”
With the game now in the hands of the players, the developer ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivorcan now begin working on its post-launch support for the game. Gamers will be hoping that Respawn opts to develop some single-player DLC forStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, after the original game didn’t receive any. First though, the studio’s focus will remain on getting the game into a playable state on PC. Many gamers are continuing to report thatStar Wars Jedi: Survivoris unplayable on the platform, and that should definitely remain a priority before any new content.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
