As with the rest of the series,Tales of Symphoniafeatures a real-time combat system that implements regular and special attacks. The special attacks are sometimes referred to as Artes in theTalesseries, but inTales ofSymphonia,these techniques are calledTech.
As the story progresses, Lloyd and the party will have access to Tech moves, and players can swap them in and out for different attacks and healing abilities, like First Aid, as the characters level up. Some skills inTales of Symphoniarequire conditions to be met so they can unlock more advanced versions. For example, perform Lloyd’s Sonic Thrust attack 200 times, and he can use the Lightning Thrust when he reaches level 5.

How To Access The Party’s Tech
The party can access their Tech abilities from the menu screen on the field map or when theTales of Symphoniacharactersare exploring towns and villages. To use Techs in battle, the player must press theCircle - or B on Xbox and A on the Switch - and the directional buttons. To access Tech,use the following steps:
