The Last of Us Part 1is an upcoming PS5 remake of the originalThe Last of Us. Featuring a return to the beginning of Joel and Ellie’s story as they look to survive in a post-apocalyptic USA,The Last of Us Part 1already has plenty of fans excited. The wait for the remakeisn’t a long one, either, with a release date set for September and developer Naughty Dogannouncing thatThe Last of Us Part 1had gone gold, meaning the studio believes the game is fit for release.

However, withThe Last of Us Part 1being fairly close to release, some have uncovered gameplay footage for the upcoming title and released it online. The latest leak, which is from XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker, shows off six new minutes of gameplay footage forThe Last of Us Part 1, featuring some combat and weapon crafting. The footage is split into three clips, with the first featuring a shootout that begins in a run-down store but eventually sees Joel and Ellie take the fighting to the streets, using derelict cars for cover.

The second clip shows the crafting mechanicsThe Last of Usplayers will likely already be familiar with. At the workbench, Joel can be seen adding a scope to a hunting rifle, as well as increasing its reload speed. Finally, the third clip shows off more combat as Joel and Ellie shoot their way out of an old library. As well as showing off clips, the leaker also displayed some new screenshots of the game, displaying thegraphical improvementsThe Last of Us Part 1hascompared to its predecessor.

Baker also displayed the control mapping and accessibility options through some moreThe Last of Us Part 1screenshots. This included some evidence of the upcoming title’s two graphics modes, which are Fidelity mods and Performance mode. Fidelity renders at 4K resolution, giving players a maximum of 40FPS, while Performance mode has a “dynamic resolution,” but will run at 60FPS. Users aren’t locked to 60FPS, though, as they can unlock the framerate on monitors that support VRR.

While it is interesting for fans to see some of the game’s features before it comes out, theseThe Last of Us Part 1leaks aren’t the first for the franchise. Naughty Dog struggled heavily whenTheLast of Us Part 2’sstory was leaked, leading many fans to spoil the game for themselves and demand that the developers release the title sooner. Luckily, this time around there is at least less of a risk of fans spoiling the story ofThe Last of Us Part 1.
