PopularTikTokstar and social media personality Cooper Noriega has died unexpectedly at the age of only 19. Noriega had been actively posting content in recent days, with fans and fellowTikTokstars left reeling at the sudden news.
Over the last few years, Noriega had amassed around 2 million followers on the TikTok platform and had a successful Instagram page, describing himself as a fashion model. In late 2020, Noriega also started building a YouTube channel. He had been known to openly discuss themes such as mental health and addiction through his social media channels. On his finalpost to Instagram, Noriega revealed he had created a Discord channel about mental health and invited his followers to join. Thousands had reportedly flocked to the Discord channel to participate.

An official Los Angeles County medical report indicates that Noriega died on the 9th of June. According to case notes, he was found dead in a public parking lot at around 4 PM in the afternoon. However, no further details about the nature of his death have been made public at this time, and it is understood that an investigation by the medical examiner is ongoing.
Noriega had recently appeared in episode 84 of Barstool’s BFF’s podcast hosted by Dave Portnoy, Josh Richards, and Bri Chickenfry. The podcast paid tribute with a photo of the late TikToker, captioned, “Life is fragile. Enjoy every minute.” Meanwhile, other social media stars have been uploading photos and sharing memories of the late TikToker.Addison Raeshared a group photo with Noriega, describing him as “one of the most kind and caring people.” In his final TikTok upload, Noriega collaborated with TikToker Bryce Hall in an 8-second short; Hall recently commented on the video, writing, “I love you so much.”
On thecrowdfunding platform GoFundMe, a page was created in Noriega’s honor to “help people with mental health and addiction” and assist his family with funeral costs. However, this funding campaign has not been verified at this time, and donations have currently been disabled.
In his final days, the late Cooper Noriega used his social media platforms to share how mental health awareness was important to him. In a TikTok upload, he spoke about how he had struggled with mental health issues himself, and that he wanted to help others by creating aDiscordwhere people could reach out. “I want you guys to not be alone, and (to) feel safe.”
