Tunicis a beautiful indie game developed by Isometricorp Games, published by Finji, and created and designed solely by Andrew Shouldice. The game follows an anthropomorphic fox who is in search of a fellow fox spirit.

In the game, players are able to find certain collectibles (such as Fairies) that are able to make the game a lot of fun. One item players will need to find is the Gold Coin. There are a total of 15 in the game that players can use. Here’s how to find and use them all.

Tunic Manual Page 20

All Gold Coin Locations

The manual mentions 15 Gold Coins that can be found in the game and used to help upgrade the player’s character. However, players have found more than 15 in a single run, so it isn’t clear how many are found throughout the game. The maps above show the locations of the 17 known Gold Coins from the game. It seems that the manual may mention 15 Gold Coins because, as far as players know, there seem to be 15 that can be found throughout the game. The other two that players have been able to obtain are purchased from shops in the game (which two shops are also marked on the map above, meaning it shows how to obtain all the Gold Coins).

Any shop in the game can sell Gold Coins, and they cost 999 gold, so it is probably better to find the ones in the game before purchasing them. Especially since it seems that only 15 can be used, so the ones in the shop seem to be in case a player cannot find two of them.

How To Use Gold Coins

Once players find Gold Coins, they will need to use them at wells in order to unlocknew Ability Cardslots in the game. This means that players will definitely want to obtain all the Gold Coins that they are able to. The manual states, “A special treasure that allows a wish. Use at well to give to wish eater.” (This translation was obtained froma translated version of the manual via Archive.org.) Players will need to equip the Gold Coins in a gear slot and then interact with a well in order to throw them in.At three, six, 10, and 15 Gold Coins, a new Ability Card slot will be unlocked. If a player needs to check how many have been thrown in a well, approach the well without having the Gold Coins equipped.
