Collecting gold inVampire Survivorsis not an important part of the game. Well, it wasn’t until the introduction of Golden Eggs. These eggs can be purchased from the merchant for a small, permanent, cumulative increase to one of the character’s many attributes.

These eggs cost 10,000 gold each. Many longtime players had a reserve of gold coins that would make Scrooge McDuck jealous, reserves that were emptied quickly by buying eggs for their favorite character. The newest character inVampire Survivors, Big Trouser, has one purpose - to help a player restore their gold reserves.
Unlocking Big Trouser
Unlocking this character requires the player toget all 16 stage items in the Moonglow stage. These items are the base passive items in the game, formerly known as accessories. In addition to getting all these items, the player needs toget them all to maximum level(level 5). These items can be increased in level when the character gains a level. Due to this, it is advisable that the player select a character with a bonus to Growth (experience) to speed this process up a bit. Imelda Belpaese and Gains Boros are the only characters that provide a bonus to Growth;Gains Boros' Growth bonus is the superior of the twothough.
Once the player has gotten the stage items to max level, they need to exit the stage and end the run. This is because if the player waits until the end of the run, at the 15-minute mark for the Moonglow stage, Death will appear. If Death kills the player, it will remove a level from the Tiragisu passive item, causing the player to fail to meet the requirements. After exiting the stage, the player needs to return to the character selection screen, where they canpurchase Big Trouser for 5,000 gold. The price increases a little for each character the player has already unlocked.

Playing Big Trouser
Big Trouser’s sprite is an exact copy of the merchant the player encounters near the starting point of a stage if they’veunlocked the merchant. This character’s passive bonuses are a+1% Greed every level, with no maximum, and an increase to the duration of Gold Fever. Big Trouser’sstarting weapon is the Candybox; this weapon gives the player an immediate one-time pick of any base weapon in the game the character does not already possess. Unlocking Big Trouser also unlocks the Candybox; this makes it possible for other characters to get it when leveling up.
It goes without saying that when using Big Trouser, the player should get the Stone Mask passive item. This item will further increase Big Trouser’s Greed rating. This makes the Inlaid Library a good stage to play when going on gold runs with Big Trouser because the Stone Mask is one of the stage items. The Bone Zone is also a good stage due to the light sources only dropping gold coins and gold bags. TheDisco of Gold arcana is a good choicewith Big Trouser due to it triggering Gold Rush when a Coin Bag is picked-up. Lastly, use Big Trouser in Hyper Mode because Hyper Mode also increases the amount of gold collected.
