ThoughHogwarts Legacyhas certainly been a major success for Avalanche Software, the game still enjoys its fair share of bugs and glitches, such as the ability to run across one’s broom as if it were a magical treadmill. Thelack of Quidditch inHogwarts Legacyhas been the source of much discussion in the game’s community, and though some are hopeful that the developers will add it through post-launch DLC, Avalanche has thankfully made broom travel an important aspect of how players traverse the Hogwarts valley and its surrounding hamlets.

Theopen world inHogwarts Legacyis vast, and exploring its nooks and crannies is a rewarding experience, most of the time. Sometimes players can get careless during their extracurricular activities beyond the safe walls of Hogwarts, and may find themselves launched off a cliff. The brilliant part aboutHogwarts Legacy’s gameplay is that it still allows players to act, and by hopping on their broom mid-fall, they can save themselves from certain death.

The incident that happened to Reddit user Dulgoron came about when the opposite was attempted. True to its action role-playing genre,Hogwarts Legacyallows players to dodge in any direction at will, and they can even upgrade the skill through the game’s robust talent system to account for longer dashes. However, Dulgoron was too hasty in their attempt to dodge as they were dismounting the broom, and the result speaks for itself through the video shared onHogwarts Legacy’s official subreddit.

While players have found workarounds to solve thetechnical issues and stuttering inHogwarts Legacy, the game still suffers from weird glitches such as cloth physics acting in rather unflattering ways. Ultimately, these bugs have veered towards the humorous side, as opposed to being a source of frustration from its players.Hogwarts Legacyis considered by many Wizarding World fans to be the bestHarry Pottergame ever released, but beyond that, it is also a deeply immersive experience for players in want of a new open world title to sink their teeth into.

Though the developers have previously stated that there areno plans for DLC inHogwarts Legacyjust yet, the statement may not hold much weight once the game finally launches on the previous generation of consoles. Given the major success it has enjoyed, both commercially and critically, fans should still remain hopeful for future content in Avalanche’s Wizarding World, even if it comes a few months later than expected.

Hogwarts Legacyis available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and a Switch port dropping July 25.
