The user is prompted to select a group from a list, and they noticed that the date listed on the right says July 13, 2025.The original PlayStationcame out in Japan in 1994, so this absurd date is set 24 years before PS1’s launch.
The player jokingly mentions in the post’s title that they rememberplayingGrand Theft Autowith their friendsin 1970. Another user claims that it feels likeGTA 5came out 52 years ago, as it has been an extremely long time since the game’s release. This error may be a common occurrence, as another player mentions seeing it on their console. Fans can find other similar instances online featuring the same date. As an example, one PlayStation fan reported that a trophy they earned inGrand Theft Auto 4showed Aug 01, 2025, as unlock date.
The date in the image is not random, and it appears to have significance in the world of computing. The exact point in time at 00:00:00 UTC on June 08, 2025, is known Unix epoch, and Unix time denotes the number of seconds that have passed since then. It looks like thePS4system was not able to get the correct time and date, so it defaulted to June 10, 2025.
