SomeWorld of Warcraftfans have discovered Dracthyr audio files that won’t be used for the Evoker class inDragonflight. These voice lines reference class resources the new dragon-themedWorld of Warcraftdoes not use, suggesting future plans to open up options for the Dracthyr.

The voice lines, shared byWorld of Warcraftcontent creator MrGM, reference Rage, Energy, and Ammunition. The first two resources are used by the Warrior and Rogue classes respectively, and Ammunition is an old mechanic that players previously used to fire ranged weapons, though it was removed years ago. The voice lines have variants for theWorld of Warcraftrace’s Dracthyr and Visage forms, and both the masculine and feminine body types.

There are no Dracthyr voice lines for Holy Power, Fury, Chi, or any other class-specific resource outside Mana and Essence, which are used by the Evoker. The unused voice lines could be added to laterWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightbeta builds, but it is just as likely they don’t exist. In either sense, there are currently no official plans to open up additional classes for the Dracthyr beyond the Evoker.

That said, the existence of these voice lines could be promising evidenceWorld of Warcraftcould do so in the future. Recording them provesWorld of Warcraftwas at least considering the notion enough to future-proof itself should it decide to do so later. The lore of the Dracthyr has Evokers as elite shock troops, meaning non-EvokerDracthyr already exist inWorld of Warcraft. With most casting and combat animations already created, such options are a distinct possibility.

However, the voice lines are far from confirmation otherDracthyr classes are coming inWorld of Warcraft. Some vehicles and other rare mechanics inWorld of Warcraftuse resources as well, which could be the reason for the Energy and Ammunition voice lines. Likewise, otherWorld of Warcraftraces have similar voice lines that are currently unused, like Void Elf and Nightbourne lines referencing Fury, the Demon Hunter class resource. Players would be wise not to get their hopes up before an official announcement.

Of course, plenty of players will do so regardless. Though the new Dracthyr race has captured the hearts of many players, they were disappointed with the restricted class selection available to them. ThoughWorld of Warcraftdid so to help create the perfect dragon character experience, many wished they could pick other classes for their Dracthyr.World of Warcrafthas said it hopes to open up new race and class combinationsin the future. With luck, those hopes can extend to the Dracthyr as well.

World of Warcraftis available on PC.Dragonflightlaunches November 28.
