AnXbox Series Sconsole bundle spotted at a pawn shop includes physical games, which would be great, except the console doesn’t have a disc drive. Microsoft decided to try something different with Xbox when it came to the latest generation of consoles. Instead of only releasing the expensive Xbox Series X console, it also released a weaker variant alongside it. Typically priced at $299.99, $200 cheaper than the Series X, theXbox Series Shas proven to be a solid way for budget-minded gamers to still access next-gen only games and get the most of their Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.

The Xbox Series S is $200 cheaper than the Series X for a couple of different reasons. The biggest reason is that theSeries S is weaker than the Series Xand considerably so. While it is still capable of playing all Series X games, the Series S isn’t able to match up in terms of graphical quality or game performance. The Series S also lacks a disc drive, which could be a deal-breaker for those that have amassed a large collection of physical Xbox games that they still want to play. Still, it seems many are fine with these drawbacks as long as it means they can save $200 to get the latest Xbox games.

Reddit user DrDannny recently found an even cheaper Xbox Series S deal at a pawn shop, though it didn’t exactly make sense. On one hand, the pawn shop was selling the Xbox Series S console for $199, which is a great deal, but it also included the option to buy it as part of a $219 bundle. The $219 bundle included theXbox Series S console, as well as Xbox One versions ofNBA 2K20,Madden NFL 20, andEA Sports UFC. While the Xbox Series X would have no problem playing these games, the Xbox Series S' lack of a disc drive means these discs would be pretty much useless to anyone that decided to buy the bundle.

Something else strange about the bundle is the controller that it’s paired with. While new Xbox Series S consoles come with a white Xbox Series X/S controller, the one in the display case was a black Xbox One controller. This Xbox One controller would still work perfectly fine with the Xbox Series S console, but it’s safe to say most would prefer to play with the newer controllers. Luckily, it seems like ared Xbox Series X/S controlleris also included in the bundle.

Even with the strange inclusion of physical game discs that wouldn’t actually work with the console, this actually seems like a decent deal for a used Xbox Series S console. While Microsoft has offered somedeep Xbox Series S console discounts, it has never lowered the system’s price to as low as $199 at the time of this writing.
