Yaoyao was one of the first Dendro character ever revealed to theGenshin Impactplayerbase, appearing in promotional materials in late 2020, almost a full two years before Dendro itself would be released as a playable element. Now, Yaoyao is finally playable, and she uses both her Dendro Vision and a polearm in battle, making her both the first Dendro polearm user as well as the first child character to use the weapon class.

Boss Drop - How to Get Quelled Creepers

While most of Yaoyao’s ascension items come from Liyue, players will need to head to Sumeru for her boss drop. The boss drop in question is the Quelled Creeper, which can only be obtained by defeating the Dendro Hypostasis in the desert, south of Aaru Village.

Remember: Players need to have a Dendro character in their party to defeat the Dendro Hypostasis’s final phase, so be sure to bring one for this fight, even though the boss itself is immune to Dendro damage.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Jueyun Chilis

Finally, someone has joined Xiangling in using Jueyun Chilis to ascend. Yaoyao needs a total of 168 of these spicy crops to reach level 90.

These Liyue specialties can be found in a few places, including growing around Stone Gate, Qingce Village, and Minlin. They can also be grown in the Serenitea Pot or purchased from Xiangling’s dad, Chef Mao, who sells five of them every three days for 1,000 Mora each.

Talent Books - Diligence

Prior to Yaoyao’s release, it had been quite a while since players had been introduced to a new character outside of Sumeru. It’s a bit of a nice breath of fresh air to head back to Liyue for some talent books!

Yaoyao uses the Diligence series, which can be farmed from the Taishan Mansion domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Trounce Materials - Daka’s Bell

The most recent trounce boss added to the game when Yaoyao debuted was Scaramouche in the Joururi Workshop, which means it’s the one that will drop Yaoyao’s talent materials. By defeating this domain, players can potentially earn Daka’s Bell, which is needed for her talent upgrades at the higher levels.

If other Joururi Workshop drops are appearing more often, Dream Solvent can be used to convert them into Daka’s Bells.
