First 4 Figures has set a date for the reveal of its newest statue, which will be Daruk fromThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Daruk was one of the principal characters inThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildand has become a fan favorite character in the game’s community.Daruk is one of the four Champions seen inBreath of the Wildwho serve as the sources of the game’s Divine Beasts questlines. Known for being a friendly Goron character, Daruk is the Champion seen by players when they encounter the Vah Rudania, one of four Divine Beasts found in the game.Daruk returned as a playable character inHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which takes place 100 years beforeBreath of the Wild. First 4 Figures is best known for making high-end collectible statues based on anime and video game properties. It has previously made a figurine of theMetroid PrimeVaria Suit worn by Samus Aran. First 4 Figures announced in a tweet that it will be hosting a live stream on February 28, when it will reveal the Daruk statue’s pricing, editions, features, and extra details.
First 4 Figures also tweeted that it will be hosting a giveaway for the Daruk state and encouraged fans to enter. The company has previously released other statues based on characters fromBreath of the Wildwhich included Link, Zelda, and Champions Mipha and Urbosa. WithThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomonly a few months from release, First 4 Figures could potentially take fan ideas for statues as it did with theSonic the HedgehogChao Garden statueseries.
The Legend of Zeldaremains one of Nintendo’s premiere franchises and has always been popular with collectors. By collaborating with First 4 Figures,Zeldafans have gotten much more to collect. It is likely that there could be more statues based onTears of the Kingdom, potentially playing off the game’s new features. An easy choice of statue would be a large-scale version of the famousTears of the Kingdom Linkstatueshown in a Japan Nintendo Live Event. This statue was later recreated as an amiibo, but First 4 Figures could keep theirZeldaline going strong by introducing it as a larger statue in line with their previous offerings. If that doesn’t end up happening,Zeldafans will still have plenty to look forward to when it comes to collectibles from First 4 Figures.
