One imaginativeZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer has built an elevator to reach the Sky Islands without using Skyview Towers. Thanks toTears of the Kingdom’s Ultrahand ability, players have created all manner of driving, flying, and floating contraptions, including rechargeable electric cars, guardian stalkers, and self-propelled boats. It looks like this engineering trend won’t slow down anytime soon.

Compared to 2017’sBreath of the Wild,Tears of the Kingdomenhances the gameplay by introducing players to ancient powers, which open the game’s world up with further possibilities. One such power is Ultrahand, which allows players to attach spare materials together to make their vehicular contraptions. As an example,Tears of the Kingdomplayers can either build an autonomous combat droneto take out enemies from a distance or make a specially-modified buggy to travel across the lands of Hyrule.

AZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer, who goes by MiztrSageTOTK-Only on Reddit, posted a clip of them using an elevator to reach the Sky Islands way faster than usual. The player seems to have used 8 sheets, 2 tumbleweeds, three Zonai fans, and a stabilizer to make this simple but functional vehicle. When asked why they used tumbleweeds, the original poster said they actually serve as a stand to get the Zonai fans under the railings. The elevator is indestructible, meaning players can make copies of them without anyone despawning.
